Also, the device itself is larger, meaning controls on the screen are more widely spaced and somewhat easier to push.

Not pretentious, forget thermodynamics, just a presentation of the field, all facets. Been searching for such a book ever since I have been buying compressed air equipment for my systems. Format, text drawings; all great. Like many technical books written by non high-end academics, but by down to earth I work in the real world person, it is a very useful and well organised reference. If you work in the field, or need to buy compressed air equipment and are weary of sales Rep, buy this. If you’re a Student trying to pass a course, don’t, it’s not a math – physics book.

This book is well written that is easy to understand even for people who have had no past experience or knowledge of compressed air systems. It also has a lot of great information for those who have a broad base of compressed air knowledge. There are a lot of great illustrations and references also.
If I had to choose just 1 book to recommend to someone for a well rounded easy to read and understand reference, this would be the one.

I knew nothing about compressed air when I started working for a company that sells compressed air equipment. This book has been such great help, it isn’t a dry text for engineers, it reads like someone talking to you and has illustrations for everything so you can follow along easily. It also has charts, lists and worksheets for just about anything you need to know about air compressors, accessories and even the connectors that are used with them. The best part is that I don’t have to learn all this stuff, I just need to keep the book handy and the information is all right there. I recommend this book to anyone who works with, maintains, specifies or even places the orders for compressed air systems. You don’t have to read it cover to cover, just keep it on your shelf and pull it down when something goes wrong, needs replacing or whatever.

I am quite happy with this gadget.
It took a while to get familiar with it, but after that it works great. It takes me about 10 minutes, once a week, to make sure that both my cars are properly inflated. Definitely one of my more worthwhile purchases.
The only issue I have with this is the crude dial setting – between 30 and 40 psi that I need, there are no markings and it requires some guesswork and trial/error. It is not a show stopper though.

Excellant unit for filling bike tires, footballs, basketballs, etc. you are able to preset pressure and the pump cuts off when you reach that pressure. Only complaint is that the 120 v power cord is only about 18-24 inches long which requires use of extension cord for most applicatons.

My son took his compressor when he moved to Colorado. The only thing I used it for was tires. This unit works great for my need. I like that you can set it and it shuts off when the pressure is achieved.

Have used the “air station” several times a week since I received it (about 6 weeks ago). I am an avid cyclist and inflate bike tires at least every other day. It works well. The ability to use either 12 volt DC or 110 AC is a great feature!

Bought this model approx. 1yr ago for my wife who drives everyday for her job. It worked fine until it hit the one year old mark. Now the screen does not recognize any touches. Recalibrating does not work either. Given Garmin’s repair rate for this unit is about $95, we will be buying another unit, just not a Garmin!

I purchased the 650 because my son had one, and was very happy with it. My previous GPS was a Magellan, but it burned up in a car fire. I like the wide screen and the sensitivity of the 650’s touch screen. But, I was not happy with the fact it had no Bluetooth capability, and it did not show elevations, both features which I used a lot on the smaller — and cheaper — Magellan. I did not find the POI screen easy to load, but did find the capability of loading custom POIs one that was definitely a plus. I have loaded highway rest stops and the Costco locations, both which I use all of the time when I am on the road.

I absolutely love this product. This is the first gps that I’ve ever owned, and it has simply been extremely useful in navigating from place to place. I used to have to look up maps on google anytime I went anywhere. Now I just plug in the address, or even just the name of the place I want to find, and go.
There are a few negative things that I would point out, though. First, it often does not take you the most direct route. I suggest that when you always zoom about and look at the route that it wants to take you, because might be surprised that there is sometimes a more direct route that you can plainly see on the map. Second, it sometimes takes a few minutes to acquire the satellites to determine your current location, especially when you’re moving. Third, it would be helpful if the business locations that you can look up were more complete. It doesn’t always have the place I’m looking for in there.
Now, keep in mind that I live in a small town, so some of these things may be due to that fact. Despite these drawbacks, I’ve found this to be an extremely useful tool, and is definitely worth every penny we paid for it.

I have one of the nuvi’s and it doesn’t hold a charge for more than a couple hours tops making it useless on any trip of length without the cigarette lighter adapter. The garmin one that came with mine crapped out after a half a dozen uses and of course after the warranty, so I bought this one as a replacement. So far, so good, works in my 99 toyota tacoma and in my gf’s 99 passat.

Bought this replacement cigarette lighter power cord for my Garmin GPS. The original adapter had a screw top (for fuse replacement) that apparently unscrewed over time, and the pieces could not be located. This replacement does not have a screw top so we won’t have that problem again. Plugged it in, works fine, and off we go on another trip.

This charger is better quality than the original piece. The charging unit on the factory piece use to come off in 5 different pieces if you pulled it out of the cigarette lighter the wrong way. Eventually, we lost one of those pieces and the charger was useless. This Gilsson charger is MUCH better than the original. The charging piece is solid and there is no way that it could come apart.

The Zumo 500 and Zumo 550 look almost identical, but they have different connectors. The Zumo 500 uses an 18-pin flat plug (which this product has), but the Zumo 550 uses a USB mini-B style plug. I couldn’t use it since it didn’t fit, so I can’t comment on its performance.

Purchased this unit two weeks ago. Map does not have roads that are two or more years old. Directions are not correct. Sent me into an area of Nashville Tenn that I did not need to be in. Contacted garman and they told me that I needed to update my unit with the latest maps at a cost of $64.00. I said I thought that I was bought an updated unit. I sent it back to Amazon for full refund. This garman novi 765 is a poor system, don’t buy it it’s adud.

My new Nuvi 765T is an upgrade from my Nuvi 205W. Here is the pros and cons:
Pros:
- Very fast in locking satellite signal.
- Very happy with the lifetime FM traffic update.
- Nice feature of custom POI
Cons:
- The most obvious down side is there is a delay when menu icon is touched.
- Sometimes even it is set to select the faster route to get on the freeway, it may still take you to shorter route instead.
- The device is still confused when in downtown with high rise buildings.
- Very few list of compatible cell phone to be paired with bluetooth
But overall, it is still an excellent GPS.

Bought the Garmin last week from Amazon for $276 only to find out one week later that Garmin lists the price as $219.99. The garmin worked WONDERFULLY for a multi-state trip to new destinations. A very impressive device. Functioned exactly as expected. This was a present for my wife who gets lost easily. She calls it her new best friend.

The unit arrived in a very reasonable period of time.
Short instruction manual contained inadequate how-to information (green attempt by Garvin, they say). Other than that, with the information available on line, the unit does what it claimed.
I have had the nuvi 780 for about a month and yesterday, received a low- battery notification on-screen, which replaced the map while I was using it for directions to a distant location.
The low-battery notification occurred while the unit was plugged into a working DC cigarette lighter outlet in the car and required the nuvi to be turned off since the notification replaced the on-screen map.
The on-screen information is excellent – easy to read and interpret.
The mounting hardware supplied with the unit is excellent in all respects.
The nuvi speaker audio is rather poor quality but the use of a cassette adapter with the car stereo is very good. (I have not tried to use the NUVIs FM output to the car radio but reviews say it is too lacking in power to be useful and my antenna is rear mounted.)
The NUVIs routing voice notifications are bit difficult to understand but they are much better than nothing; it requires getting used to.
Check to see if MS Direct information (trial version comes with the nuvi) is available in your area if you want this service. (It isn’t in my area but seems to be available in most or all larger metropolitan areas.)
