In 2006, competitive conditions in the flat panel display (FPD) industry will change significantly. The era in which competition was primarily based on increasing investment and glass substrate sizes is over. Henceforth, overall capability, including parts/material strategy and equipment strategy, will become the decisive factor. By 2010, parts and material costs will account for 80% of the total cost of large-size LCD panels, which will drive future market expansions; thus, parts and materials will make up most of the value addition in panels. Leading panel makers are starting to reinforce their cooperative relationships with parts and material makers, as well as with equipment makers.

The jacket is too tight for the Kindle and totally impractical if you intend to use your Kindle with any frequency. I can’t even get my Kindle inside it, and I doubt that if I did, I’d be able to get it out again.

After using this cover for a week with my brand new Kindle 2, the case left smudges on the pristeen white front of the device. The residue will not come off either. I’ve tried windex, alcohol, mineral spirits…nothing works.

Took exactly 3 weeks to arrive.
Doesn’t fit at all. Even if you try to shove it and make it stretch!!
Isn’t anything like the picture, instead of a leather/vinyl looking sleeve, I was sent a soft neoprene like envelope with velcro closures and a very soft fuzzy interior.

I also got a cloth case with a flap and it is too small for the Kindle 2. I don’t know what they were thinking when they sent this but it will be going back at their shipping expense. Very disappointed. Nothing like the picture!

I waited for 3 weeks for this item. It appears in the photo to be leather or at least “faux leather”. What I got was cloth with a flap. To make it worse the Kindle 2 does not even fit inside of the sleeve. The Kindle is a good 1 inch larger than the case.
Don’t waste your money or time.
This is the second case I have ordered for my new Kindle. The first one was about 3-5 inches to long and 3-4 inches too wide. I have had it for 3 weeks now and still haven’t been able to leave the house with it, for lack of a case. What is the deal with the case makers?
FYI: I have never written a review of a product before, but this case I just had too warn people.

THE PROBLEM: Mobile telephone displays scratch very easily and thus appear shabby and unsightly. Only a few manufacturers offer replacement displays and even then the exchange is usually very costly. THE SOLUTION: DISPLEX offers a simple solution for this widespread customer problem. With this new type of special polishing paste, end users have for the first time the possibility of eliminating the scratches in their mobile phone displays quickly and cost effectively in a do-it-yourself process THE USE: Apply some DISPLEX to the mobile phone display. Polish the scratched areas with heavy pressure for 2-3 minutes with a soft, clean cotton cloth. Repeat application as necessary for deep scratches. Remove residue Attention: do not polish coated surfaces; treat the transparent part of the display lens exclusively. Contents of tube of 5g is sufficient for approx. 8-10 applications. HOW IT WORKS: The plastic lens is lightly dissolved and polished with fine abrasive particles. The corners of the scratch traces are rounded off and the fissure bottom filled out with the material of the lens itself.
